Meet Tuğba
Founder of Top Fashionista: textile seller, home cook, and the pair of hands behind everything on this site.
Top Fashionista started as a textile and fashion business in the UK, selling womenswear, lingerie and accessories online and at local markets, and supplying curtains and chef uniforms to restaurants.
Alongside the shop, Tuğba kept doing what she has always loved: cooking the Anatolian dishes she grew up with. Friends, neighbours and customers tasted her food and kept asking for more, so the kitchen became the second half of the business. She trained to Level 3 in food safety to do it properly, and has cooked in professional restaurant kitchens in London.
Today Top Fashionista is both things at once: a small fashion shop, and a home kitchen cooking Turkish food for the local area.
